Penny Flanagan is a Sydney-based writer and musician.

Penny Flanagan has been many things and most of those things involved words.
In her early 20s Penny was known as a singer/songwriter. Starting out as one-half of the critically acclaimed acoustic duo, Club Hoy, her music was a regular fixture on the JJJ playlist. Her debut solo single, Lap it Up was voted no.58 in the 1994 JJJ Hottest 100. By her late 20s she had written two novels. By her late 30s she was raising three children, Max, Alex and Henry. In her 40s she started touring and performing with her sister, Kitty Flanagan and by 50 she had written a third novel and co-written the TV series, Fisk, with her sister Kitty.
She is currently working on the second series of Fisk.
